Wedding planning is in FULL effect over here. The date has been set for November 13, 2015, and I can’t wait!! We couldn’t wait to ask our bridesmaids/groomsmen to be in or wedding. We are so fortunate to have a great group of friends, it was hard not being able to ask EVERYONE. We ended up with 7 on both sides & being able to ask them was so much fun. We wanted a creative and unoriginal way to ask. I love succulents and I want to incorporate them everywhere at the wedding! Tyler loves cigars so we thought it would be great to incorporate those things.
For the bridesmaids, I went to Home Depot and got an already assorted succulent arrangement in clay pots. I used painters tape to tape off the top part of the pot and spray painted the bottom half. My maid of honor got the gold pot and all the other bridesmaids had white on the bottom. I made the “Will you be my maid of honor/bridesmaids?” tags in photoshop and printed them out myself. I got some simple bamboo sticks from Hobby Lobby and boom it was completed. I loved how they turned out and I LOVE succulents!
For the guys, I found some inspiration on Etsy and Pinterest and then added my own twist to them to come up with these. We bought some cigars and just taped them to the back. It was so simple (simple is nice when planning a wedding!!).
Being a graphic designer definitely is coming in handy while working on our wedding stuff!
