I’m so fortunate to have a career that I absolutely love. Every day I wake up excited and ready to start on all the design & photography projects that I have in my cue. But there’s something special about doing something you don’t normally do to feel creative. For me thats been making cocktails with my friend Sara. Its been one of my newest creative outlets and I’m loving it! We have the best time experimenting with simple syrups, fruits, and liquors. This week we made a new one, The Pear Elderflower G&T. It’s yummy! With the weekend approaching, you should definitely make it, its refreshing & has that summer feel to it.
4 shots gin
1/4 cup simple syrup
1/4 cup elderflower cordial ( I used Belvoir, available at world market)
1/2 cup tonic water
Peel and slice pears, and combine with simple syrup in a blender. Blend until you have a puree. Add to cocktail shaker with elder flower cordial and ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Pour into a glass, and top with tonic water. Give it a stir, and sip away!!!
